Day 7: A Proverbs Prayer

Section 1: Prepare Your Heart

A PROVERBS PRAYER

For the LORD gives wisdom;

from His mouth come knowledge and understanding

-Proverbs 2:6 NIV

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being a shield of wisdom and knowledge for those who fear Your name. Thank You for protecting us with discretion and guarding us with peace. Thank You for clothing us with love and faithfulness as You bless us with favor from You and those around us.

 We pray today Lord, that the students and staff of every school in our country turn their ears to Your wisdom and apply their hearts to understanding. May all of us call out to You for insight and cry aloud for understanding, looking for it as if it were a hidden treasure. May the fear and awe of Your great name, power and glory be understood by all who are teaching or being taught in this country, for You, oh Lord, give wisdom and from Your mouth comes understanding and knowledge. Your wisdom will save our children from the ways of wicked people and they will walk in the ways of good people. 

Set the hearts of those who seek You ablaze with Your love. Refine us with Your glory and release us to expand the territory of heaven in every school in the United States. We will speak Your name with pride, conviction and power as You uphold victory for us and protect our ways. For Your wisdom will enter our hearts and Your knowledge will be pleasant to our souls.
