Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 35

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer for Early Childhood Educators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook.

A PRAYER FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

Dear Sovereign Father who reigns and rules in heaven above and in the heart of every believer,

Those who you have anointed and gifted to mold and lead children toward You humbly come before you and acknowledge You as the Savior, Redeemer and Restorer of the rightful place of Your people in the field of education.
We thank You Father for the privilege to serve and minister to those who are designed to have the greatest trust in who You are. Your word says to “let the little children come to You, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”. Therefore we lift up every little child in our home, our day cares, centers and classrooms before You.

Lord, we speak first to the foundation of each child. We call each home into order according to the will of God for the family. Return the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Give fathers wisdom to seek You and to provide a spiritual covering for their families. Strengthen mothers who are raising their children alone to rely on You and cover their children in prayer. Reunite families in the Word of God. Restore order, balance, finances, wholeness, purity, morality and virtue based on the Word of God to the families of America. When our families are restored, when our fathers love and embrace their children, when our mothers are no longer carrying the responsibility of caring for two and three generations under one roof, when our children are not having children, when our children aren’t being ignored and left alone because parents have to work two and three jobs just to provide the bare necessities, when families embrace the Word of God as their foundation, then our children will come to You without bruises, tears and broken bewildered hearts.

Deliver healing and wholeness to the parents of our children. Open the door for them to
receive, with a willing heart, education and wisdom to increase their provisions and opportunities for growth in their families. Open the ears, eyes and heart of the young parent to receive the assistance and training necessary to give their child a sure foundation. May the love and patience that is exhibited by us, your servants be a shining example to them.

As we wait for these manifestations to occur, we speak a connection with those who have the heart of a pastor to cover our classrooms, day cares and centers in prayer. Connect our places of learning with men and women of God who will partner with us in prayer, finances and time.

Now Lord, we direct our prayers towards the children we serve. We speak to and release Your hand to gift each child with continued progression of their physical, social, cognitive, logical, creative, and language development. We call upon the Holy Spirit who leads us and guides us in all truth to expose any inconsistency or underlying issues that would or are
preventing our young children from developing as they should. Bless us and their families to receive the finances, resources, knowledge, love and patience to guide those children who are in need of special assistance due to any health, emotional or academic developmental issues.

Master Teacher, we look to You as our source of patience, nurturing, creativity and direction as we teach our students. Help us to show our students how to see Your hand in all of creation. Cause us to be zealous in sharing Your love to each and every child and their family.

Forgive us Lord, when we as Believers in Your love and holiness, expose our children to the glazed over and animated books and movies promoting witchcraft, sorcery and demonic images created by the enemy to desensitize our children to the images and practices of evil. Forgive us Lord when we unknowingly spew gossip, dissension and frustration over our children in our conversations while the sleep. Forgive us for not being sensitive to their curiosities and creative abilities as we who are in a public school setting strive to get them “ready” for kindergarten.

Forgive us if we have hindered them in any way from coming to You.

We release You to be the director of our centers, the teacher of our classrooms and leader of our homes as Your word explains that when all of our children are taught of the Lord, great will be their peace (Isaiah 54:13 NIV). You also promise to gather the youth in Your arms and carry them close to Your heart and gently lead us who have young children in our care (Isaiah 40:11 NIV)

Great are You Lord and most worthy of praise! We thank You for allowing us to train the next generation of believers. We give you glory and honor and we thank You for this opportunity.

In Jesus’ mighty and holy name,

Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 34

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer written by and  for Secondary Educators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook.

A PRAYER FOR SECONDARY EDUCATORS

Dear heavenly Father,

We humbly come before You acknowledging that You are King of kings and Lord of lords. You have created this world that we might have dominion to reflect the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. We acknowledge that through the sin of one, we handed over our authority to satan, but through the holiness and redemptive power of another, Your Son Jesus the Christ, we have been given the authority to take back what was ordained for all of mankind.

As we repent and turn from our ways which are displeasing in Your sight and grievous to the Holy Spirit, we thank you for covering us with the blood of Jesus and gifting us with your mercy and grace. When and where we as officials, administrators and secondary educators have not administered the love, mercy and grace that you have given us, dear Lord, please forgive us.

Give us, as educators and administrators the strength to be bold enough to let our light shine so that we may draw others to Christ. Illuminate our assignments that we may act in accordance to Your will with assurance, decency and order. Your word says that You have given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. Therefore, we call upon the character of love, and humility that You have already placed in us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to be made manifest in us at our workplace.

Lead us and guide us in all truth and compel us to show your character at all times, not just when it is convenient. Compel us to make every effort to add to our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if we possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep us from being ineffective and unproductive in our knowledge of You.

Our God, we pray that all of the governing officials in our surrounding localities would recognize Your sovereignty, Almighty God and seek Your face concerning all laws, finances and decisions that affect education. Bless our Governor, senators, mayors, delegates, superintendents, deans, professors and school building administrators with Godly leadership, a spirit of unity and a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

We ask that in accordance to Proverbs 9:10 that all of the administrators in our area schools would have wisdom in decision-making that is pleasing to You and is best for the students in addition to wisdom to lead God’s people. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. We ask that you would help our school and government officials to realize that school is not a “testing grounds” but a place to “mold the whole child” in a growing, learning and discovering environment.

It is our desire that you reveal all truth in our government so that nothing is hidden according to 1 Corinthians 2:10. Open up the eyes, ears and hearts of Your officials. Reveal these things by Your Spirit. For Your Spirit searches out everything and show the hidden things of God.

Place Your men and women in leadership positions who have a heart filled with love for people and Your will rather than for money or power. For those that you currently have in positions of authority, we ask that you would empower them to be bold enough to change the culture and mindset of our schools to reflect the will of God. We pray that everyone that comes in contact with our school systems have a Godly influence on our children, parents, teachers and all other staff. Encourage our leaders to open the door for churches to partner with area schools and cover them in prayer.

Because You are God and You are always victorious, we your people, claim the victory over incompetent leaders, insufficient funding, and the spirits of disunity, illiteracy, poverty, racism, separatism, violence and rebellion. We rebuke all foul spirits, familiar spirits and we wipe clean the slate of the enemy and the workers of iniquity who seek to destroy our children, educators and the plans of God for the influence of education to impact the Kingdom of God. We claim the victory over the subtlety of the enemy to comprise the morals of our children through the media, the arts and entertainment. We counteract those evil spirits with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord by those Saints who trust and believe in His word. We lay hold to all of God’s precious promises concerning those who diligently seek His face and are called by His name.

In the name of Jesus, our Lord, Savior, the Lamb of God to whom all power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise is due. We thank You.

Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 33

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 58 and 59 for teachers from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled,  Anoint Me Lord, by Vicki Yohe.

This prayer was submitted and read aloud at an Educators Prayer Breakfast held September 27, 2014 by one of our prayer leaders, Ms. Linda Nicholson.

Almighty God, I set myself in agreement with the Word of God and with what You once established in American education. I release my hope and faith in Your Word. I patiently expect Your glory to manifest in schools all across our nation.

Artwork by Vanessa Renee Williams
I come before You on behalf of the students, educators and administrators of the entire educational system in America. Lord Jesus, I ask You to restore honor, integrity, virtue and peace in American classrooms. I confess Isaiah 53:13, “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Every time I hear a report of violence and terror in our schools, I will say out loud, “Our children are taught of the Lord and great is peace and the anointing of them!”

And Jesus, You and I know the educators and the administrators cannot teach and run our schools without You and Your anointing. So, I intercede and give thanks for those You have ordained and placed in positions of authority and responsibility in our schools across America. I believe for Your anointing to be in them and upon them.

I am not waiting until I see the Spirit of God moving in this situation. I am starting my confession now! Combine my faith with those who are also praying and believing for the wisdom, honor, strength, wealth power and glory of God to be demonstrated in our school systems.

I am releasing my faith for the next generation!

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the redemptive work You are doing in our schools and in the people who run them. The students and teachers are on your heart and they are on mine too. Our schools will be a joy, a praise, and a glory before all nations of the earth! Nations will fear God and tremble because of all the goodness, peace, prosperity, security and stability You have provided to us.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 32

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 56 and 57 for administrators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, 1Timothy 2: 103 NKJV and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, The Oil of Your Anointing, by Stephen Hurd.

Continue praying for those in leadership positions in the field of education.  Pray specifically that the superintendents, directors, principals, deans and presidents at those institutions of education in your community will have a heart that follows after God and seeks His vision.

MAY THEY BE IN THE WORD

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior
1 Timothy 2: 1-3 NKJV

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for being a great leader. You love, protect and teach those who follow You. You guide in justice and give wisdom, knowledge and understanding to those who seek after You.

Today, we lift up every principal, assistant principal, director, dean, president, and superintendent of our country's educational institutions. May those who are called by Your name immerse themselves daily in Your word and realize that the school in which they are leading belongs first and foremost to You.

May You continue to increase the faith and wisdom that You have placed within them to lead others with integrity, self-control, perseverance, holiness, brotherly kindness and love. Quiet the noise around them so they may hear Your voice and be obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning the school You have given them charge over. Teach them to seek and speak Your presence in their buildings and campuses.

Our Lord, by the Blood and the Light of Jesus, we speak an overhaul of the schools that are lead by men and women who cheat, lie, steal and bully to gain success and notoriety. Soften their heart to accept You. As they turn to You for wisdom and trust that LOVE can lead successfully, may You protect them from the backlash of the enemy.

Place a blood soaked hedge of protection around our leaders. Grace them with peace and bless them with favor to open doors of opportunities for their teachers and students.
In the Name of Jesus, our Great Leader,

-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Section Six Intro. Video

Thanks for joining me and educators and intercessors around the world in this forty day journey of prayer for education.
Please take the time to view the video to gain some insight on the prayer focus I will be sharing for section six.

The prayers in this section were not written by myself alone. Teachers, specialists, administrators, coaches, and a government official got together at a prayer breakfast that I hosted a few years back and generated these prayers based upon the needs they wanted to bring before the Lord.

If you haven't done so already, download the free eBook so that you can have access to them offline.  Print it out and share it with a coworker. :-)

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 31

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 53 and 54 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Psalm 133:1 NKJV  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "Open Our Eyes" by the Gospel Clefts.

Continue praying for the word of God to dwell richly in the hearts of His people all over our country so that we may be messengers of the love of Jesus.  Pray scriptures of peace and racial harmony over your school system and the communities it serves.

A PRAYER FOR RACIAL UNITY
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalm 133:1 NKJV

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are a Father of many children of different colors and cultures. Through Your sanctifying work on the cross, You, Jesus, have given the world access to be adopted into Your family. You look neither at country nor continent, but look only to the believing heart and hold out Your hand to welcome them in. As You continually welcome in person after person, You ask that we would love as You love and be unified with one another. Yours is a mandate to the church to come to the unity of faith and maturity to welcome Your return to this earth.
Father, please forgive us for being prejudice and judgmental towards our students and our coworkers. Forgive us for harboring and passing along the hate and ignorance of earlier generations. Forgive us for covering up our own ignorance with indifference and denial. Your word says that if we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins then You
will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank You Lord for Your cleansing power.

Father, help us to be Your example of unity. Remind us when we want to segregate ourselves in faculty meetings, prayer groups, and invitations to church events, that it is good and pleasant when Your people dwell together in unity.

When we want to judge our students and their families because of where they live or what school system they transferred from, remind us that dwelling together in unity first begins with how we perceive people. Remind us that we have the mind of Christ and You dwell within us.

Because of Your indwelling, we will think and speak from Your heart that beats deep within us. Help us to be an example of your unconditional love for all of our students.

In Jesus' name,
-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 30

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 51 and 52 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Psalm 78:4  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "The Latter Rain" by the Alvin Slaughter.

Continue praying for the word of God to strengthen the family unit in this country. Pray for healing and restoration for the families of your students this school year.

A BETTER GENERATION
We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders.
Psalm 78:4 NLT

Dear Lord and Precious Father,

We praise You for being timeless. We thank You for being omnipresent and omniscient. Bless Your holy name for creating the family unit and having a place in Your heart for the fatherless and the widow. It is with great purpose that You have created "family". Each family You have knitted together is fearfully and wonderfully made and all their ordained days have already been written in Your book of destiny.

We understand that in praying for an educational revival in this country, we must also lay the family structure of this country on the altar before You. Forgive this country's disregard for what You have ordained as the sacred family unit. Forgive this country for every tv show, book, political view, religious acceptance and blind eye turned away from the Truth that has altered this country's foundational principles of family which were built on the Word of God.

As You empower us to restore the family unit to reflect Your will, turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children. As parents and grandparents read the Word of God, may they begin to speak to their children and grandchildren about the wonders of Your hands. Release the truth of Your goodness from the tongues of parents throughout this country. Teach parents to bless their children.

We declare that one generation will praise Your name to the next. This current generation and those that are rising up will be greater than those before them. They will acknowledge where their help comes from. They will declare Your wonders. They will meditate on Your goodness and they will boldly proclaim  Your existence in the hallways, classrooms, fields, courts, lecture halls, playgrounds, school buses, dorm rooms, cafeterias, locker rooms...where ever their feet go, their mouths will proclaim, "Jesus is Lord and He is the Way, the Truth and the Light."

This generation and those to follow will lift You up and You will draw all men unto You.

In Your great and holy name Jesus,

-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 29

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on page 50 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Isaiah 54:13NKJV and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "Let There Be Peace on Earth" by the Harlem Boys Choir.

As you continue in prayer, speak peace over your community and school system.  If you can, get a list of the schools in your city/county/parrish/borough.  Pray scriptures of peace over them throughout the school year.

THE PEACE OF OUR CHILDREN
All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children
Isaiah 54:13

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being a promise keeping God. You are not a man that You should lie. What You say, You shall do. Thank You for giving us Your peace. Yours is a peace that passes all understanding and  guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Today, Lord, we ask that all of the children of this land will be taught by You. Your word says that we have not, because we ask not. We ask this, believing that it can happen. As You release Your word to be incorporated into our daily curriculum and release prayer back into our schools the world will begin to see a change in the educational system. Your name will be lifted up as the peace of our children, peace in the classrooms, and peace on our college campuses increase. You, oh Lord will get the glory as this divine peace flows from the hearts and mouths of teachers and administrators.

Shine Your light through Your believers and multiply those who hunger and thirst after righteousness in America's education system. May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him to teach our children so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Jesus' Name,

-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 28

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on page 49 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Joel 2: 28 NKJV  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "Revival Fire Fall" by the Motor City Mass Choir.

As you continue in prayer, lift up the children in your life who are being taught the Word of God. Ask the Lord to ignite their hearts with a passion for His presence. Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit anoint them to be as bold and courageous as Esther, dedicated to the Lord as the three Hebrew boys, as diligent and rewarded as Joseph and as influential as Daniel. Pray for their protection and strength as they carry the light of Jesus to their peers, family and teachers.

BRING IT BACK
And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
Joel 2:28 NKJV

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for loving the world so much that You gave us Your only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ. We thank You for being the Way, the Truth and the Life. We thank You for wanting all to come to You. We thank You for the love and compassion in which You gaze upon the children all around the world.
May the children of this land be encouraged to worship You while at school. May prayer be released back into education. From the lips of infants and children, Lord, You have ordained praise to silence the foe and the avenger.

We declare in the Name of Jesus, a desire for the children of the land to call on You in spirit and in truth. Show them the great wonders of Your great love. May they in turn testify of Your goodness to others.

Strengthen those children You have already called to be bold and stouthearted for You. Lace their language with Your praises and their actions with Your love. Protect them from or strengthen them through persecution and let them not be conformed to this world, but choose to stand out and be a light for You. May those whom You have mandated to lead, be filled with the anointing as You did for Daniel, David, Joseph and Esther.

May the desire for worshiping You start in their home. Turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children and restore the foundation of family in this country. May the revival of prayer, one generation praising Your name to the next, be released today.

In Jesus’ name,

 - Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 27

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on page 48 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Proverbs 22:6 NKJV  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "You Lead" by Jamie Grace. May our children have this song upon their hearts.

As you continue in prayer, lift up the children in your life (ie. personal children, students (current and former), relatives, neighbors, and church family). Ask God to show you how you can specifically pray for their upbringing in the Word of God.

TRAIN UP A CHILD
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22: 6 NKJV

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being all wise, and all knowing. Thank You for knowing the thoughts of our hearts and our end from our beginning. No one can fathom the depths of Your wisdom. We acknowledge that Your ways are higher than our ways, Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and You truly are the Master Teacher.

Your word encourages us to train up a child in the way that they should go. You also command us to allow the little children to come to You for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who accept and follow You with the faith of a child.

Today Lord, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we decree a crumbling and destruction of every hindrance, lie, curriculum, or policy that prohibits the children and youth of this land to be trained in Your truth. We halt and erase the plans of humanism and atheism to diminish the worth, existence, power, glory, necessity and complexities of the One and Only, True and Living God. May our schools and universities return to the core of teaching that our country was founded on; the Word of God in daily instruction.

For Your educators, we declare an increase in wisdom, favor, and discernment to teach, talk and train in love. Holy Spirit, pour this out over us on this and every day. For Your glory, victory is ours and the territory of education belongs to You.

In the name of the one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all, Jesus the Christ,

 -Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 26

Section 5: For Our Students

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 46 and 47 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Luke 18:16 NIV and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "Pray" by Mary Alessi.

As you continue in prayer, lift up students all over this world. Cry out for the nations, governments, cultures, and religions. Seek the direction of the Lord in how to increase in intercessory prayer for students around the world.

MAY THEY KNOW
But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Luke 18:16 NIV

Dear Abba Father,

You are the Supreme Ruler of all creation. You have created this universe and galaxies far beyond what we can image. Yet You are keenly aware and in control of the most minuscule aspects of our lives. Thank you.

Because we can assuredly say that You love us, today we stand in the gap of intercession and lift up every child and young adult in this country. We ask that You would release Your Holy Spirit throughout this land to give our children the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they may know you better. We ask that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which You are calling them. We ask that they may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus for them.

As You promised to pour out Your Spirit on all flesh, we rebuke the devil from prohibiting our children from receiving it. Although we believe ourselves to live in the land of the free, there are many invisible chains which bind Your word from freely flowing in our schools. May the hearts of those who are against You be softened and may they accept the free gift of Your love.

We cancel and overrule in the name and authority of Jesus, every law or ruling that prohibits our children from freely worshiping You in their schools.

We stand on the firm Word of God that You are upholding the cause of our oppressed children and they will know that You love them.

We stand on the firm Word of God that You are giving food to our hungry children and they will know that You love them.

We stand on the firm Word of God that You are watching over the children of our land who are from another country and those in our land who are fatherless and they will know that You love them.

In the Name of Jesus, the One who desires children to come unto Him,

-Amen
