Prayer for City Revival (Part 1 in revival series)

Lord God, send a revival to my city/county…

Refine Your churches. I call, in the Spirit, for a “cease and desist” of religious meetings in this city and release in Jesus’ name, assemblies filled with Your presence.

I call for, in Jesus’ name, a unification of the churches – across denominations, race, size, and status – “one new man” in Jesus Christ.

Lord God,  send a revival to my city/county.

Unify Your people in every section of government, every school, every church, every civic league, our police force, our judicial system, our hospitals, clinics and EMS workers, our social service department…
Let there be no place where Your people aren’t a unified light for You.

I call for, in the name of Jesus, the faculty and staff of every school who are called by Your Name, to unify themselves to establish Your authority over the enemy and his demons and adverse spirits at their schools and in the families and communities they serve.

I speak and release an angelic and the holy blood of Jesus hedge of protection around my family and all who take this stand.

Send Your Truth to the churches. Soften the hearts of the people. Open our eyes – heal our blindness to see people the way You see them.
Open our ears – heal our deafness so that we may hear AND obey Your voice.
Open our mouths – heal our muteness and stupor that we may speak Your love and truth.
Restore our movement – heal our lameness, weakness, and fatigue that we may walk with strength and purpose in Your will.

Revival starts with us.
Revival starts with me.

Lord Jesus, in Your mercy and grace, send a revival.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Day 33: For Our School Systems

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 58 and 59 for teachers from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook  and enjoy the accompanying song entitled,  Anoint Me Lord, by Vicki Yohe.

This prayer was submitted and read aloud at an Educators Prayer Breakfast held September 27, 2014 by one of our prayer leaders, Ms. Linda Nicholson.

Almighty God, I set myself in agreement with the Word of God and with what You once established in American education. I release my hope and faith in Your Word. I patiently expect Your glory to manifest in schools all across our nation.

Artwork by Vanessa Renee Williams
I come before You on behalf of the students, educators and administrators of the entire educational system in America. Lord Jesus, I ask You to restore honor, integrity, virtue and peace in American classrooms. I confess Isaiah 53:13, “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Every time I hear a report of violence and terror in our schools, I will say out loud, “Our children are taught of the Lord and great is peace and the anointing of them!”

And Jesus, You and I know the educators and the administrators cannot teach and run our schools without You and Your anointing. So, I intercede and give thanks for those You have ordained and placed in positions of authority and responsibility in our schools across America. I believe for Your anointing to be in them and upon them.

I am not waiting until I see the Spirit of God moving in this situation. I am starting my confession now! Combine my faith with those who are also praying and believing for the wisdom, honor, strength, wealth power and glory of God to be demonstrated in our school systems.

I am releasing my faith for the next generation!

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the redemptive work You are doing in our schools and in the people who run them. The students and teachers are on your heart and they are on mine too. Our schools will be a joy, a praise, and a glory before all nations of the earth! Nations will fear God and tremble because of all the goodness, peace, prosperity, security and stability You have provided to us.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

A DAILY DESK PRAYER
-by Toni Young

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, to You I commit this day and every child I teach.
I give to You my mind and lessons,
but more so Lord, my speech.
Tune my heart to sing Your praise,
whether things seem up or down.
I, am Your student. You are my teacher.
So I lay down every crown.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 35

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer for Early Childhood Educators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook.

A PRAYER FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

Dear Sovereign Father who reigns and rules in heaven above and in the heart of every believer,

Those who you have anointed and gifted to mold and lead children toward You humbly come before you and acknowledge You as the Savior, Redeemer and Restorer of the rightful place of Your people in the field of education.
We thank You Father for the privilege to serve and minister to those who are designed to have the greatest trust in who You are. Your word says to “let the little children come to You, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”. Therefore we lift up every little child in our home, our day cares, centers and classrooms before You.

Lord, we speak first to the foundation of each child. We call each home into order according to the will of God for the family. Return the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Give fathers wisdom to seek You and to provide a spiritual covering for their families. Strengthen mothers who are raising their children alone to rely on You and cover their children in prayer. Reunite families in the Word of God. Restore order, balance, finances, wholeness, purity, morality and virtue based on the Word of God to the families of America. When our families are restored, when our fathers love and embrace their children, when our mothers are no longer carrying the responsibility of caring for two and three generations under one roof, when our children are not having children, when our children aren’t being ignored and left alone because parents have to work two and three jobs just to provide the bare necessities, when families embrace the Word of God as their foundation, then our children will come to You without bruises, tears and broken bewildered hearts.

Deliver healing and wholeness to the parents of our children. Open the door for them to
receive, with a willing heart, education and wisdom to increase their provisions and opportunities for growth in their families. Open the ears, eyes and heart of the young parent to receive the assistance and training necessary to give their child a sure foundation. May the love and patience that is exhibited by us, your servants be a shining example to them.

As we wait for these manifestations to occur, we speak a connection with those who have the heart of a pastor to cover our classrooms, day cares and centers in prayer. Connect our places of learning with men and women of God who will partner with us in prayer, finances and time.

Now Lord, we direct our prayers towards the children we serve. We speak to and release Your hand to gift each child with continued progression of their physical, social, cognitive, logical, creative, and language development. We call upon the Holy Spirit who leads us and guides us in all truth to expose any inconsistency or underlying issues that would or are
preventing our young children from developing as they should. Bless us and their families to receive the finances, resources, knowledge, love and patience to guide those children who are in need of special assistance due to any health, emotional or academic developmental issues.

Master Teacher, we look to You as our source of patience, nurturing, creativity and direction as we teach our students. Help us to show our students how to see Your hand in all of creation. Cause us to be zealous in sharing Your love to each and every child and their family.

Forgive us Lord, when we as Believers in Your love and holiness, expose our children to the glazed over and animated books and movies promoting witchcraft, sorcery and demonic images created by the enemy to desensitize our children to the images and practices of evil. Forgive us Lord when we unknowingly spew gossip, dissension and frustration over our children in our conversations while the sleep. Forgive us for not being sensitive to their curiosities and creative abilities as we who are in a public school setting strive to get them “ready” for kindergarten.

Forgive us if we have hindered them in any way from coming to You.

We release You to be the director of our centers, the teacher of our classrooms and leader of our homes as Your word explains that when all of our children are taught of the Lord, great will be their peace (Isaiah 54:13 NIV). You also promise to gather the youth in Your arms and carry them close to Your heart and gently lead us who have young children in our care (Isaiah 40:11 NIV)

Great are You Lord and most worthy of praise! We thank You for allowing us to train the next generation of believers. We give you glory and honor and we thank You for this opportunity.

In Jesus’ mighty and holy name,

Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 34

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer written by and  for Secondary Educators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook.

A PRAYER FOR SECONDARY EDUCATORS

Dear heavenly Father,

We humbly come before You acknowledging that You are King of kings and Lord of lords. You have created this world that we might have dominion to reflect the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. We acknowledge that through the sin of one, we handed over our authority to satan, but through the holiness and redemptive power of another, Your Son Jesus the Christ, we have been given the authority to take back what was ordained for all of mankind.

As we repent and turn from our ways which are displeasing in Your sight and grievous to the Holy Spirit, we thank you for covering us with the blood of Jesus and gifting us with your mercy and grace. When and where we as officials, administrators and secondary educators have not administered the love, mercy and grace that you have given us, dear Lord, please forgive us.

Give us, as educators and administrators the strength to be bold enough to let our light shine so that we may draw others to Christ. Illuminate our assignments that we may act in accordance to Your will with assurance, decency and order. Your word says that You have given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. Therefore, we call upon the character of love, and humility that You have already placed in us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to be made manifest in us at our workplace.

Lead us and guide us in all truth and compel us to show your character at all times, not just when it is convenient. Compel us to make every effort to add to our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if we possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep us from being ineffective and unproductive in our knowledge of You.

Our God, we pray that all of the governing officials in our surrounding localities would recognize Your sovereignty, Almighty God and seek Your face concerning all laws, finances and decisions that affect education. Bless our Governor, senators, mayors, delegates, superintendents, deans, professors and school building administrators with Godly leadership, a spirit of unity and a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

We ask that in accordance to Proverbs 9:10 that all of the administrators in our area schools would have wisdom in decision-making that is pleasing to You and is best for the students in addition to wisdom to lead God’s people. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. We ask that you would help our school and government officials to realize that school is not a “testing grounds” but a place to “mold the whole child” in a growing, learning and discovering environment.

It is our desire that you reveal all truth in our government so that nothing is hidden according to 1 Corinthians 2:10. Open up the eyes, ears and hearts of Your officials. Reveal these things by Your Spirit. For Your Spirit searches out everything and show the hidden things of God.

Place Your men and women in leadership positions who have a heart filled with love for people and Your will rather than for money or power. For those that you currently have in positions of authority, we ask that you would empower them to be bold enough to change the culture and mindset of our schools to reflect the will of God. We pray that everyone that comes in contact with our school systems have a Godly influence on our children, parents, teachers and all other staff. Encourage our leaders to open the door for churches to partner with area schools and cover them in prayer.

Because You are God and You are always victorious, we your people, claim the victory over incompetent leaders, insufficient funding, and the spirits of disunity, illiteracy, poverty, racism, separatism, violence and rebellion. We rebuke all foul spirits, familiar spirits and we wipe clean the slate of the enemy and the workers of iniquity who seek to destroy our children, educators and the plans of God for the influence of education to impact the Kingdom of God. We claim the victory over the subtlety of the enemy to comprise the morals of our children through the media, the arts and entertainment. We counteract those evil spirits with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord by those Saints who trust and believe in His word. We lay hold to all of God’s precious promises concerning those who diligently seek His face and are called by His name.

In the name of Jesus, our Lord, Savior, the Lamb of God to whom all power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise is due. We thank You.

Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 32

Section 6: For Our School Systems

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 56 and 57 for administrators from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, 1Timothy 2: 103 NKJV and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, The Oil of Your Anointing, by Stephen Hurd.

Continue praying for those in leadership positions in the field of education.  Pray specifically that the superintendents, directors, principals, deans and presidents at those institutions of education in your community will have a heart that follows after God and seeks His vision.

MAY THEY BE IN THE WORD

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior
1 Timothy 2: 1-3 NKJV

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for being a great leader. You love, protect and teach those who follow You. You guide in justice and give wisdom, knowledge and understanding to those who seek after You.

Today, we lift up every principal, assistant principal, director, dean, president, and superintendent of our country's educational institutions. May those who are called by Your name immerse themselves daily in Your word and realize that the school in which they are leading belongs first and foremost to You.

May You continue to increase the faith and wisdom that You have placed within them to lead others with integrity, self-control, perseverance, holiness, brotherly kindness and love. Quiet the noise around them so they may hear Your voice and be obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning the school You have given them charge over. Teach them to seek and speak Your presence in their buildings and campuses.

Our Lord, by the Blood and the Light of Jesus, we speak an overhaul of the schools that are lead by men and women who cheat, lie, steal and bully to gain success and notoriety. Soften their heart to accept You. As they turn to You for wisdom and trust that LOVE can lead successfully, may You protect them from the backlash of the enemy.

Place a blood soaked hedge of protection around our leaders. Grace them with peace and bless them with favor to open doors of opportunities for their teachers and students.
In the Name of Jesus, our Great Leader,

-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Section Six Intro. Video

Thanks for joining me and educators and intercessors around the world in this forty day journey of prayer for education.
Please take the time to view the video to gain some insight on the prayer focus I will be sharing for section six.

The prayers in this section were not written by myself alone. Teachers, specialists, administrators, coaches, and a government official got together at a prayer breakfast that I hosted a few years back and generated these prayers based upon the needs they wanted to bring before the Lord.

If you haven't done so already, download the free eBook so that you can have access to them offline.  Print it out and share it with a coworker. :-)
