Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 25

Section 4: You Have Power

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on pages 43-44 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Luke 1: 37 NLT and Isaiah 40:10 NIV and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "God Still Heals" by DeWayne Woods.

Acts 27:25 says, "Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me".  As you continue in your own personal time of prayer, ask God to reveal to you how you are to specifically pray for those students with diagnosis, disorders and disabilities that He places in your sphere of influence this school year.

HEAL THEIR BRAINS
For the word of God will never fail. Luke 1: 37 NLT
For with God, nothing will be impossible.  Luke 1:37 NKJV
See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.
Isaiah 40: 10 NIV

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for fearfully and wonderfully creating each and everyone of us. Thank You that within us all there is a gift which will benefit Your Kingdom. We are all uniquely designed to give You glory one way or another. You are the Potter and we are clay. May we appreciate each piece You have crafted.

Today Lord, we lift us those wonderfully crafted vessels that are chipped and broken in the sight of the world. We lift up all students who are struggling with learning. So many of Your children are frustrated and hopeless because they cannot comprehend or retain the information they are given.

Your word says that if we cry aloud for understanding and insight we can discover Your knowledge. Your word also says that if we lack wisdom we should ask You for wisdom in faith believing that we will receive it from You.

Father we need Your help. We need wisdom to be able to teach every child to their fullest potential. We need understanding in how to sustain in our students the curiosity for learning new things that they were naturally born with. Teach through us, Holy Spirit, to activate each major part of the brain in our students.

With You God, all things are possible. Therefore, we ask for healing and divine restoration for every area of inactivity and damage in our students' brains. Activate, fully connect, and increase development in the brains of each and every child You have given us charge to teach.

We speak the healing Blood of Jesus to cover our students’ minds and ultimately their souls.

In Jesus' name,

-Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 7

Section 1: Prepare Your Heart

A PROVERBS PRAYER

For the LORD gives wisdom;
from His mouth come knowledge and understanding
-Proverbs 2:6 NIV

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being a shield of wisdom and knowledge for those who fear Your name. Thank You for protecting us with discretion and guarding us with peace. Thank You for clothing us with love and faithfulness as You bless us with favor from You and those around us.

We pray today Lord, that the students and staff of every school in our country turn their ears to Your wisdom and apply their hearts to understanding. May all of us call out to You for insight and cry aloud for understanding, looking for it as if it were a hidden treasure. May the fear and awe of Your great name, power and glory be understood by all who are teaching or being taught in this country, for You, oh Lord, give wisdom and from Your mouth comes understanding and knowledgeYour wisdom will save our children from the ways of wicked people and they will walk in the ways of good people.

Set the hearts of those who seek You ablaze with Your love. Refine us with Your glory and release us to expand the territory of heaven in every school in the United States. We will speak Your name with pride, conviction and power as You uphold victory for us and protect our ways. For Your wisdom will enter our hearts and Your knowledge will be pleasant to our souls.

In Jesus name,

Amen

Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 4

Section 1- Prepare Your Heart

THE FEAR OF THE LORD

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
- Proverbs 9:10 NLT

Fear:  "respect, reverence, piety"

Every educator has to go through training in order to be qualified to teach or lead.  We learn through college level classes, the advice of our mentors, and more than often from our mistakes.  It goes without saying that the best teacher is often the best student; one who is always learning and eager to listen.
However, even with all of the book knowledge and "get knocked down, stand back up" experience we may attain, it will never compare to having the wisdom which comes from above.  This God given wisdom only comes from having "respect, reverence, and piety" for God.
Our prayer for today is for us as educators to develop and maintain the fear of the Lord. Because we are not only His representatives, but also His change agents, we must be mindful of our words, what we look at and what we listen to.  When this is developed in us we will better be able protect what we allow our in our classrooms and schools which can negatively influence our students and coworkers.

Join with us and pray our prepared prayer on page 12 of the Forty Days of Prayer for Education or pray independently from our focus scripture, Proverbs 9:10 NLT

Afterwards, take some time to just listen for Jesus' voice as you ask Him to alter what you say, hear and see to show your respect for His sovereignty and holiness .

Please enjoy this song entitled, "Lord, You're Holy", by Prestonwood Baptist Church choir and orchestra.

The Lord is with you and you are loved,
