Forty Days of Prayer for Education: Day 23

Section 4: You Have Power

Join with us today and pray our prepared prayer on page 41 from the FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EDUCATION free eBook or pray independently from our focus scripture, Colossians 1: 28- 29 AMP and enjoy the accompanying song entitled, "My Help" by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

As you continue in prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal those situations during the school year that caused heaviness, resentment, or frustration.  Seek revelation to the root of the matter and ask God for the perseverance, energy and strength to overcome them should they occur again.

ENERGY TO DO HIS WORK
We proclaim Him, warning and instructing everyone in all wisdom [that is, with comprehensive insight into the word and purposes of God], so that we may present every person complete in Christ [mature, fully trained, and perfect in Him—the Anointed]. For this I labor [often to the point of exhaustion], striving with His power and energy, which so greatly works within me.
Colossians 1: 28-29 AMP

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the source of our strength, the center of our joy and to whom be all glory, honor, power and praise.

Today Lord, we continue to pray for the strength of educators and administrators across this country. Father it is so easy for us to forget where our help comes from in the face of mountains of work, new initiatives, difficult students, parents and coworkers. Fill us with Your supernatural energy for Your glory. It is for Your glory that we have been appointed by You as educators. It is for Your glory that You have equipped us for training, teaching, correcting and comforting our youth so that they too can reflect the image of Christ.

We ask that You would expose the root of our frustrations and weariness so that if it is something that we are causing, we can change. Help us to organize, prioritize and to be willing to ask for help from others. Guide us to specific scripture that we can meditate on and be strengthened in any time we are feeling drained.

Mightily enable us so that we can strive and press toward the mark of our high calling to train the next generation to learn and to love like You.

In Jesus' name,

-Amen
